Christmas time is here!

Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything and I had some extra time at work so let's see where to begin:

We all had a great Thanksgiving and I hope everyone else did as well.  We got to see family and eat way to much.

Last week Cyrelle and I had the bad stomach flu.  She missed 2 days of school and I missed 2 1/2 days of work.  It was not fun at all but I am thankful that is has passed and we are all doing much better.  We had a scare with Parker on Friday I had to pick him up early from school but by Saturday night he seemed to be doing ok.

Thursday Dec 9th Cyrelle had her Christmas music program at school.  Grandma and Grandpa got to go and see her perform and she had a great time.  We tried to record it but Cyrelle thought it would be funny to hide behind the little boy infront of her on the risers.  So most of the video you see her pony tail and the teacher's backside dancing around and that's about it.

Sunday Dec 12th we attended church and the children performed their Christmas program.  It was amazing.  They have been working on it for a long time and all of them did a wonderful job.  Parker even talked loud and clear enough for everyone to hear what he was saying.  And Cyrelle only had one line but was awesome.  I am so proud to have them in my life and can be there to see them grow and acheive great things as they have done already.

Sat and Sun we traveled to St. Louis in search for Parker's new item he is wanting.  A Bearded Dragon. (Not my thing at all) but we went to Petco and Petsmart and found some good things then found a larger used tank with a stand at a local pet store for the same price so then Sun we had to return all the items from St. Louis.  I'm glad all my Christmas shopping is done b/c it was crazy up there with all the people shopping.  We have the dragon's terrarium set up and we are going to pick him/her up tonight after school.  Parker says if it is a boy his name is Bob and if it's a girl her name will be Lizzy (I planted that one) so we shall see what we get.  Both kids were crazy this morning.  They wanted to stay home to go get the dragon.  NO WAY!!! So as for now they are off to school to learn then the dragon. lol.

Only 2 more days until Cyrelle has her eye surgery.  She was born crossed eyed and has underwent surgery once before when she was 18 months old but now that she is older and her eyes have adjusted to everything they are starting to float out so they want to correct is as soon as possible.  There is a chance that when she is gets older she may have to undergo surgery once again to tighten the muscles in her eyes but we will cross that road if and when it comes and pray that this surgery will help her.  She has perfect vision but it is becoming more noticable with her eyes and as we all know how peer pressure is we are trying to avoid all of that.  She is a great girl and doesn't need all that junk to go along with it.

Our Christmas shopping is all done. (I think Travis still needs to finish up :) but he usually waits till the last minute) must be a man thing. lol  As I've told the kids Santa is on a budget this year but they are still going to have a great christmas and get all the things they wanted except a laptop.  We started a new thing this year that we got from some friends at church and it is that each kid will get 3 gifts from mommy and daddy.  Just like Jesus did from the 3 wisemen.  So it really made them think about what they wanted and I think will apprecitate the gift more.  Then Santa brought them some gifts but it's killing them to have to wait and see.

The kids will be going to thier biological mother's on Christmas eve to spend some time with thier family on that side then back home to have Christmas with us that night and Christmas morning with Santa.  It's definatly been hard for me with that situation but I wouldn't change any of it for anything.  I love my husband and my children and the amount of love and joy they give me is priceless.

Well now that I've rambled on and on and who know's how many people actually read this stuff but it gives me something to do and express myself and let others know how much I love my family and enjoy life.

Love,
Brittney
