Being a Mother

So I feel like venting today.  Someone made a comment to me (not sure how to take it) but it was "Until you have your own kids your not a mother"  I DO NOT agree with that at all.  I feel I am a wonderful mother.  To me being a mother does not mean just giving birth to them.  I have two wonderful children and I would die for them.  They are the world to me and they know my love for them. For anyone who has step children will know that you love them with the world and would do anything for them.  So here's my definition of a mother to all who think you are not a mother utnil you give birth to your own: Cooking breakfast for them for school, packing thier lunches for school, dropping them off at school every morning, staying in touch with teachers for thier education, cooking dinner for them, helping with thier homework, making sure they are clean everyday, reading to them in the eveings, tucking them in at night, watching them grow up through the years, going to school functions, going to church plays to watch them, being thier shoulder to cry on when they are upset, holding time and most of all showing them LOVE and that I will always be there for them good or bad.  Umm need I list more. 

I think I'm good for now. I can't wait to get off work and go home to see my kids and spend time with them.
